Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the Assessment Tool?
It is an on-line questionnaire that seeks to identify the strengths of people who express an interest in planting new congregations or renewing existing ones.
How was the tool developed?
The Gallup Organization conducted qualitative research to identify patterns of excellence that describe the talents needed for success in planting a new congregation or renewing churches. The research was in cooperation with Ecumenical Partners from other mainline denominations. A total of 159 new church developers were included in the research which included focus groups, a pilot survey, and other factors from Gallup's Item Bank of factors which contribute to success.
How reliable is the Tool?
If we consider that 60 percent of our new church planters or renewing pastors are successful, and, if we are to select one in five applicants/available ministers, with a Developer Index of .40, there is an increase in the proportion of successful Developers and Redevelopers from 60 to 81 percent, or 21 percentage points, attributable to the Tool.
What does it cost?
For a limited time, the cost is $49.99. (The standard assessment cost is $100.00)
