As the church continues to hear Christ's call to reflect the multiethnic character of his people, pastors and lay leaders need to gain skills and competencies to serve in those contexts. Mark Branson seeks to equip Church leaders to create environments that make God's reconciling initiatives apparent in missional engagement with neighborhoods and cities. Branson offers not static model but a praxis of "paying attention," reflection and the use of Appreciative Inquiry (A.I.) tools that can lead to a genuine reconciliation and shared life empowered by the gospel that is personal, interpersonal, cultural and structural. Webinar participants are asked to initiate the following conversations prior to this event to better understand how A.I. can be a tool to advance missional inter-action.

1. Ask 1or 2 members of your church: “In all your experiences with our church, when have you been most engaged and motivated? What were you doing?
2. Ask 1 or 2 persons in the neighborhood of the church (however you define it): “If you were describing our neighborhood to someone who was thinking of moving here, what would you say are your favorite qualities or places or characteristics?
