| | | Thursday, November 29, 2012, 08:00pm - 09:00pm | | | |
| As we race into the busiest season in most of our lives, you are invited take some time out to sit and listen - listen to the texts that tell the story of the coming of Jesus, listen to the sounds of quiet Advent songs, listen to the still small voice that is so easily drowned out by the noise and busy-ness that is a modern Christmas. Using the ancient practice of sacred reading, "lectio divina," to prepare for the Advent Season. We will also talk about ways to take that practice into your church, small groups, Sunday School classes, and other communities. Rev. Cathy Anderson currently serves as a hospital chaplain in Atlanta, Georgia. During 20 years of local church ministry, Cathy specialized in working with children and their families, particularly around faith formation, worship, and spiritual practice.
