Effective Fundraising for a Thriving Church

Money and mission go together.  One cannot prosper without the other.  During six group sessions we will formulate a plan for ways your church can thrive by not being afraid to ask people for needed funds for your church’s mission.  These sessions will include:

  • Mission – how is your church changing lives?

  • Compelling communication – how and when to talk about generosity

  • Segmented giving – who is in your church community and what are their interests?

  • Specialized campaigns – how to organize them

  • Legacy giving – when generosity pays off

  • Creating a Plan – an individual coaching session to help each participant tweak his or her fundraising plan 

We will use J. Clif Christopher’s book e-Giving as a resource.

I have worked at every level of the church: internationally with the Taize Community in France, including travel in SE Asia; as a local church senior pastor for 19 years in Center City Philadelphia; nationally with one of our UCC publications; and for the last 10 years as an Associate Conference Minister in SE Pennsylvania. I have published two books, am a Trustee Emerita of Lancaster Theological Seminary, and serve as a Trustee of the Pension Boards and Ministerial Assistance Board of the UCC.
